| Gérard FAVARELChairman LMBO In January 1986, Gérard Favarel founded Groupe LMBO's first venture capital company specialised in company start ups. He previously worked for the Development Bank of the Republic of Niger, and then at Crédit National and the Treasury, after graduating in Economics and Political Science in Paris. With the launch of LMBO Conseil and LMBO Finance in 1989, he specialised the Group in LMBO technical investment. Gérard believes that company funds are a rare resource, and he has therefore opted for a prudent investment approach being very selective in his choice of alliances and projects to be financed. In the mid-1990s, technology became a key factor in the process of creating value; and investment horizons were lengthened. Gérard Favarel began specialising Group LMBO in the long-term financing of reference companies in targeted activities. By creating the Fondation du Littoral in 2005, Gérard Favarel has made Group LMBO a player in sustainable development: diversified investments focused on technology, from start up to development and transmission of companies; the bulk of funds managed and invested are owned by the Group. |
